I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, followed by a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Mosul. Building on this foundation, I completed my PhD in Hydraulic Engineering at the University of Duhok, where my research deepened my understanding of fluid mechanics, flood dynamics, and hydraulic structures.
My future academic focus centers on advancing knowledge of water quantity and quality, with particular interest in the challenges facing river systems and extreme hydrological events. I aim to develop and apply advanced numerical simulation techniques—especially finite volume methods—to improve the modelling of flash floods and river flows. Additionally, my research will contribute to enhancing design procedures for hydraulic structures to support more resilient and efficient water management systems.
