  • MA of Quranic exegesis, Yuzujinel Van University, Türkiye, 2016.
  • BA, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, University of Duhok, 2000.

I began my academic career at the University of Duhok in 2016, where I worked in the Faculty of Humanities within the Departments of Islamic Education and Religious Education. I then moved to the Faculty of Basic Education in the Department of Religious Education, before joining the Department of Geography in 2023.
Throughout this journey, I have taught a wide range of modules to students from first to fourth year. These have included academic debates, thematic exegesis in its various forms, Arabic language and rhetoric, Quranic sciences and recitations, as well as several topics in psychology and sociology.
This diversity has enriched my teaching experience and enhanced my ability to employ various educational strategies that cater to individual differences among students, contributing to the achievement of learning outcomes and educational objectives.

In addition to my teaching and research duties, I have contributed throughout my university career to a number of academic and administrative activities that supported the educational process and enhanced institutional performance within the college.
I have served as the department coordinator since **2022** for two academic years across several scientific departments, including: the Department of Sociology, the Department of Psychology, the Department of Islamic Education, and the Department of Religious Education, in both the morning and evening sessions. I also held the position of Quality Assurance Officer, where I supervised the preparation and documentation of its requirements and the instructor's portfolio in accordance with academic accreditation standards.
On the administrative front, I participated in several university committees, including administrative, disciplinary, examination, and financial committees, as well as committees for evaluating other scientific departments. This contributed to strengthening institutional expertise and developing academic and administrative work mechanisms.
These responsibilities continue to this day, stemming from my conviction that integrated academic and administrative work represents a fundamental pillar in serving the university, elevating the quality of higher education, and achieving its scientific and societal goals.

My research interests center on Islamic heritage studies in their scientific, intellectual, and civilizational dimensions, with a focus on modern methodologies for studying Islamic heritage and its relationship with the humanities, social sciences, and cultural studies. I am also concerned with studying the epistemological links between Islamic sciences and other fields of knowledge, such as psychology, sociology, political science, and natural sciences, contributing to the development of balanced scholarly approaches that bridge tradition and modernity.
Furthermore, I pay special attention to issues of peaceful coexistence between followers of different religions and sects, as well as the study of contemporary intellectual and philosophical challenges, such as atheism and materialistic trends, analyzing them in light of Islamic heritage and modern scientific methods. I also work on comparing the output of classical scholars with contemporary academic studies to highlight the integration and interaction between Sharia sciences and various branches of human and natural knowledge.
Broadly, my research aims to employ modern scientific methodologies in reading Islamic heritage and repurposing it to address contemporary intellectual and social issues, thereby promoting the values of cultural dialogue and contributing to the consolidation of the principles of tolerance and mutual respect among peoples and civilizations.

I have been supervising graduation research for fourth-year students since 2016 across several departments where I have taught. Throughout this academic journey, I have overseen numerous research projects in various disciplines.
The topics of these research projects have been diverse, spanning grammar, morphology, rhetoric, literary criticism, exegesis (Tafsir), Quranic sciences, Prophetic Hadith, biographies, linguistic lexicons, and Quranic readings, as well as other subjects in Islamic studies and the Arabic language.
In my supervisory role, I am committed to guiding students toward selecting original scholarly topics, utilizing modern research methodologies, and adhering to the principles and academic standards of scientific research. A number of the students whose research I supervised have achieved outstanding results and earned high marks on their graduation projects.
My supervisory activities continue to this day, driven by a belief in the importance of supporting student researchers, developing their scholarly skills, and contributing to the preparation of a generation of researchers capable of advancing linguistic and Islamic studies and serving the scientific community.
