• July 2009, a month ‘Teacher Training’ course arranged by College of Arts, Duhok University, Duhok, Kurdistan, Iraq.

• April 2011 to January 2012, a team member in a joint project called ‘staff development seminar’ between Duhok University and Buskerud University College/ Drammen/ Norway. The staff development seminar was an integral part of a wider project called ‘DeLPHE Iraq’; it was funded by the British Council to develop quality of teaching in both schools and universities in Kurdistan Region/Iraq in relation to " inclusive education, intercultural competence, democratic citizenship and student-centred learning in teacher education. Project involved school visits, workshops, and seminars in both Duhok and Drammen.

• September 2016, ‘Linc Summer School and Workshop in Systemic Functional Linguistics’, an intensive 3- day Program of 18 hours from 31st August to 2nd September at Center for Language and Communication Research, Cardiff School of English, Communication and Philosophy, Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK.

• June 2017, Pre-conference Workshops in Systemic Functional Linguistics (June 28th) held by Salamanca University, Salamanca, Spain.

• September 2017, a two year ‘Learning to Teach’ course in Teaching Methods for Higher Education (2015- 2017) held by School of English, Communication and Philosophy, Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK.
